Let me introduce this product to you by offering a near-to-complete feature list. It probably isn't complete, because I just might have forgotten some functions/ features at this point, but we try to keep it up-to-date as good as possible.

  • zOOm Media Gallery is a gallery system that can store images (photos), video files (all streaming formats supported), audio files (with mp3 playback) and documents (Word and PDF files).
  • Create multiple galleries with infinite levels of depth. This way you can order your media in a hierarchal method.
  • Upload your media in four different ways: file-per-file, multiple files as one ZIP file, Drag 'n' Drop (JUpload by Mike Haller <http://www.jupload.biz>), scan directories/ remote location and select which media to upload after scanning!
  • Manage all your galleries/ media with the user friendly Gallery Manager and Media Manager; inuitive user interface and perfect Mambo/ Joomla! integration.
  • Let users access the Media Manager and/ or Gallery Manager once you assign various privileges to them! You can choose if they can upload/ edit or delete media and create/ edit or delete galleries.
  • All ZMG features can be turned on and off.
  • The ZMG layout is completely customizable through CSS (Cascading StyleSheets)
  • PDF files can be indexed (with the cross-platform software 'Xpdf ') and with this feature turned on, a user can search inside the PDF files as well.
  • ZMG can create thumbnails of your video files as well, once the cross-platform software 'FFMpeg ' is installed on your server.
  • Create thumbnails from images with GD1.x, GD2.x, ImageMagick and NetPBM .
  • You can set the maximum image size to match your template and ZMG resizes it to 'viewsize' for you, but leaves the original file intact for donwload.
  • Rotate images 90 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise with photos taken as portraits.
  • Add names, descriptions and keywords to media and galleries.
  • Mistakenly displaced media can be moved to its right place.
  • zOOm Media Gallery is often updated and those updates can easilly be done through the zOOm Updater!
  • Galleries can be published and un-published.
  • Select which kind of users may view a specific gallery or medium by adding them as members.
  • Galleries can be password protected.
  • ZMG can also be used when SAFE-MODE = ON.
  • Users/ visitors can rate each medium.
  • Users/ visitors can leave comments at each medium.
  • Users/ visitors can view all images in a gallery as a slideshow.
  • Users/ visitors can navigate through each gallery with media-player like navigation buttons.
  • Users/ visitors can add media to their own session-bound lightbox and download them all at once as a ZIP file when their done browsing your gallery.
  • Users/ visitors can zoom in and out of an image. Why else would this product be called zOOm Media Gallery? (tjpzoom by Valid <http://valid.tjp.hu/zoom/> )
